Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW - Pipe) | 180 Hours - $8,500

This course is an introduction to the shielded metal arc welding process. Training consists of taking proper steps for the prep and cleaning of base materials before welding; electrode selection, joint design, fillet welds, T-Joints, open root in various positions 2G, 5G, 6G, oxyfuel cutting, and reading and understanding weld symbols. Graduates may find suitable employment in weld shops, manufacturing/production facilities, and commercial/industrial construction. Structural welders can be found working in new building construction, highway infrastructure, equipment manufacturers, fabrication shops and many other related areas. Certifications not included in this price.

Pipeline Welding (Downhill Welding) API 1104 Standard | 100 Hours - $6,500

This course of instruction prepares individuals for entry-level jobs as a pipeline welder. Pipeline construction is used in the oil and gas industry (oil, refined products, or natural gas), transportation through pipes from the oil fields to the refining and storage facilities. Pipelines extend for thousands of miles from city to city and sometimes into neighboring states. Segments of pipe are welded together using the SMAW process, running an electrode (rod) in downhill progression. Students will learn the layout and preparation for 12×12 branch testing along with techniques used in the pipeline industry for speed and proficiency, “turn and burn”.  A graduate may find suitable employment in pipe trade unions, gas and electric companies, refineries, pipe yards, tank farms, fabrication shops. Students will be fully prepared to take a Pipeline Qualification Test, which is nationally recognized by the American Welding Society and required on many job sites. Pipeliners are one of the highest paying trades in the construction field today. Students will receive a Certificate of Completion for Structural Welding. Certifications not included in this price.

Standard Stick Welding (SMAW - Plate) | 110 Hours - $6,500

This course is an introduction to the shielded metal arc welding process. Emphasis placed on power sources, electrode selection, oxyfuel cutting, and various joint designs. Instruction is provided in SMAW fillet welds, T-Joints and open root in various positions – flat, overhead, and vertical. Graduates may find suitable employment in weld shops, manufacturing/production facilities, and commercial/industrial construction. Structural welders can be found working in new building construction, highway infrastructure, equipment manufacturers, fabrication shops and many other related areas. Certifications not included in this price.

Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW or MIG)/Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) | 90 Hours - $6,000

This course provides the beginner student with a thorough technical understanding of flux cored arc welding, welding metallurgy, and joint design. It is designed to provide training to develop welding skills on carbon steels using small and large diameter flux-cored electrodes (with and without shielding gas), in all positions, on fillet and groove welds. This course also teaches troubleshooting and the use of the proper equipment, filler metal selection, and welding with different gases. Ninety (90) hours of booth instruction/hands on training and (20) hours of lecture/theory make up this course (110 hours total). Certifications not included in this price.

Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW - Pipe) | 110 Hours - $6,500

Pre-req: Basic welding experience

This course instructs students in the welding safety and proper techniques in the TIG Pipe welding process. The course will prepare the welder to weld and pass a 2G, 5G, 6G, pipe test to ASME and AWS standards. The course will teach the proper filler metal selection, proper shielding gas, weld troubleshooting and equipment setup; techniques for making welds in all positions; explanation of weld symbols, and joint design. One hundred and ten (110) hours of booth welding and ten (ten) hours of lecture and practice make up this course.  Certifications not included in this price.

Advanced Welder/Fitter | 10-Weeks Program - $11,500

This program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive study of advanced welding of plate and pipe in various positions.  Students learn two advanced processes:  Shield Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) & Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) on plate and pipe.  This program can normally be completed in 10 weeks. Upon successful completed of this program, students will receive a Certificate of Completion from AWA, and will have the opportunity to earn SENSE Level II Advanced Welder Certifications through the American Welding Society.  Graduates will be prepared for welding jobs in the construction of bridges, fabrication shops, structural components, power plants, pipeline welding facilities and weld shops. Certifications not included in this price.

Beginners can earn up to 4 certificates of completion, one for each completed process module.
