Certified Welding Educators & Inspectors

We have Certified Welding Educators (CWE) and Inspectors (CWI) onsite to ensure your welds meet the level of quality and specifications required.

Booth Rentals

Rent a booth; practice with our welding experts; get refreshers sessions on processes or techniques you have forgotten; get the guidance you need to pass your tests. Available for individuals and companies.

Qualifications & Testing

As an Accredited Test Facility (ATF), AWA offers custom testing for the certification of welder and procedure qualifications. Onsite & satellite inspection services with CWI. Results within a few days and could be expedited for special circumstances.

Customized Welding Practice & Certification Kits - AWS D1.1

Test kits are available to practice or test at your own shop or facility. Kit prices range from $250-500 depending on material requirements, etc. – Call us to discuss your needs!

Test Pricing & Guidelines

  • Following the guidelines of the American Welding Society (AWS), an individual test is required for each welding process and/or position – AWS will award a Certified Welder certificate for each passed test.
  • Each passed test process will be noted on your Certified Welder card.
  • Proof of a passed test could be provided on the same day of the test – this can be used to obtain employment while you wait for AWS to send the formal certificate in the mail (~3 weeks).
  • Please contact us for testing prices – discounts available for those who test for 2 positions or more.
  • Welding booths are available for rental to practice (with or without instructors).
  • Testing schedules are flexible and available upon demand.
  • Refer to the list of all Professional Certified Welders certifications.

  • Limited & unlimited thickness 3/8” and 1” test plates – Plates will qualify for groove & fillet welds
  • All positions: 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions – Tests qualify for production flat grooves & flat & horizontal fillet welds
  • Kits also include: test & practice coupons; backing bars; a guide sheet with instructions; Prequalified Welding and Fitting Procedures Specifications (WPS); and the test data sheet
